Does pain pills cause you to have gas?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Well, obviously, you: What are you taking the pain pills for?Let's say it's for an ankle sprain and not gastric upset or cramps. And if you haven't been eating any gas-forming foods(like broccoli or beans, etc) and you haven't been so nervous you've been swallowing air and-you took the pain pills and you got gas and stopped taking them and the gas went away--then took them and the gas came back--hmmm, what do you think?
