Spasm?: Sounds like an esophageal motility disorder such as spasm or a nutcracker esophagus. May need a referral to a GI specialist and some special testing with a tube thrpugh the nose and in to the esophagus called manometry. Sounds worse than it is. Ask your primary if this is appropriate for you. Hope this helps!
