All is well: Most HPV infections cause no disease. Your positive HPV test doesn't necessarily mean you had a wart causing type of the virus. Only 2 types cause almost all warts; there are over 50 other low risk types. CDC and other health experts recommend that your partner doesn't even need to see a doctor (and doesn't need HPV testing) unless he sees actual warts. Talk to doctor about getting HPV vaccine!
