Hot and stuffy: places reduce oxygen a bit and the fear of fainting can make it more likely to happen, similar to the fear of having a panic attack when away from home. A phobia is an irrational fear and a clinical psychologist can teach you coping strategies to manage it. A fear of loss of control is at the root of all of this. Do what you can to manage life and go w/the flow. See www.relaxationresponse.org
