No: no it should not but recommend stool softners or mild laxative to relieve the constipation which is usually due to the narcotic pain killers.

It could indeed!: So make sure you don't get constipated. I recommend using a fiber supplement like metamucil at 2-4x the usual dose, with plenty of fluids. Drink up on fruit juices, and water. Also, lubricate your anal canal, on the inside, by pushing a blob of vaseline in there.
