How could someone know if they had peritonitis? are there always symptoms? or should i go to the doctors to check? i experienced bleeding while in bathroom. anal fissure or colon perforation? thanks.

Peritonitis Symtoms: Peritonitis will cause excruciating pain and usually associated with infection in the abdomen. Bleeding can be from hemorrhoids. Anal fissures tend to cause a lot of anal pain. Doubtful that you have colonic perforation. When you see a doctor, they should find a cause for blood per rectum by simple examination and perhaps colonoscopy.
