Both Are Steroids: Clobetasol is a class I super potent topical steroid. Fluodinonide is a class II high potency topical steroid. They are quite similar in there effectiveness. I would contact the doctor that gave them to you and ask which one you use or how to use them. Your doctor may want you to begin with clobetasol and then transition to fluocinonide as the rash improves. These creams do not treat fungus.
