Warm salt water: Time: 10 - 14 days, and warm salt water is about all you can do for healing. Avoid putting numbing medicine on it too much as it may slow the healing or make it numb so you traumatize it even further, or cause a chemical irritation. Good Luck.

Mouth ulcer: also called canker sore is the most common oral lesion. Individual ulcers typically last 1-2 weeks. The condition is idiopathic (cause is not known) recurrent aphthous ulcers is usually self-limiting. Try to keep adequate oral hygiene as possible. If concerned see your dentist after 10 days or visit today for laser immediate amelioration.

Tincture of time: Most mouth ulcers are gone in 10-14 days. In the meantime try taking an OTC analgesic such as Ibuprofen (exactly as per package instructions. Rinsing with warm salt water may help. If not gone in 2 weeks, see your Dentist ASAP.
