A member asked:

I went for hiv test which is hiv 1/2 & p24 combo test (cmia) on 32 and 41 day of my last exposure, report says non reactive. is this 100% conclusive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nearly so: For a definitive answer you should get a HIV nucleic acid test done at 12 weeks after the exposure. If that is negative that will essentially rule out HIV infection. Even the combo test, if negative at 12 weeks would be strong evidence against the infection.
