Go see ur Family Doc: In truth, the answer depends. How long have you had the cut? Where is the cut? How deep is it? Any structures involved like joints or tendons? For simple shallow cuts, rinse w/plenty of water, then keep dry. While warm compresses are often used to draw your body's immune system's attention to areas of infection, if infection has already set into your cut, then it's best to see your Family Doc.
