A member asked:

My husband has lyme disease and and hasn't been treated. he's known it for a year. he probably has hep c too.what can this do to him?

Significant harm: These are 2 separate issues and are caused by 2 different infectious agents. Each should be evaluated. If lyme disease is not treated, there is an increased risk of cardiac, neurologic and arthritic complications that can occur months to even years after the infection. Severe hep c can lead to cirrhosis and liver failure.
