3 days: Check out http://www.aafp.org/afp/2011/1001/p771.html for the definition of uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTI) and various antibiotic regimens. While Ciprofloxacin is 2nd tier, 500mg daily for 3 days or 250mg twice daily also for 3 days. 1st tier antibiotics include 3 options ranging from 1 single dose to 3 days to 5 days.
