Hypothyroidism: Hello: Hypothyroidism can itself be associated with dry scalp, sores and hair loss. Check with your endocrinologist who can ascertain if your dose for thyroxine has changed. Other causes of scalp sores are skin disorders and you may need to see a dermatologist. Best wishes, Nisha
