Is it a bug?: Hopefully not. More likely, it is unequal pressure or possibly fluid in the middle ear trying to equalize / escape via the eustachian tube, which may be partially blocked / swollen. Decongestant often helps (pseudoephedrine or afrin). If feeling persists, see an ENT dr for evaluation.
