Possibly, yes.: Drinking 2 or more alcoholic beverages can cause dehydration, low potassium and low magnesium. These are all potential causes of leg cramps. Leg cramps can also occur from muscle fatigue, poor circulation, certain medications, or a nerve problem. If decreasing alcohol, staying well-hydrated, and stretching your legs before sleep doesn't help, you should see a doctor.
