Don't use it again: PeptoBismol contains bismuth subsalicylate. Central nervous system side effects have been reported, such as:Anxiety, confusion, depression, headache, slurred speech. It is likely that you experienced a CNS side effect from PB and I would suggest you don't use it again.The reasons some people get side effects while others don't is probably genetic.
