Oral contraceptives: using oral contraceptives (birth control), even if taken exactly on time and as directed still has the potential for a failure rate. If taken perfectly, it is around 99.7% effective. Usually in the first year, it is only around 90-92% effective. If you are not trying to become pregnant, using two forms of birth control (ex: pill & condom) is the advised. Talk w your PCP or GYN for more info.
