SE v uncontrolled DM: Check out http://www.drugs.com/sfx/metformin-side-effects.html for side effects of metformin. However, I'm concerned that you're describing polydipsia (excessive thirst), a symptom of uncontrolled diabetes. So check your sugar levels. It's imperative that you go see your Family Doc or Endocrinologist immediately.
