If you've had chlymida does it cause infertility?

It can, not always.: If Chlamydia goes untreated, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease which can in turn lead to scarring of the tubes. If the tubes are scarred and blocked, then it would be difficult to conceive naturally. If you think you have chlamydia, please see your doctor ASAP to get treatment and make sure partner is treated as well. Good luck!

Hard to say: Chlamydia can infect the delicate linings of the fallopian tubes and lead to blockage or scarring. Long term disease is more likely to cause such a problem but even brief infections with this germ can do it. Some seem to avoid the complication in spite of the infection. If you had trouble getting pregnant, a fertility center could help identify a cause & a way to get pregnant in spite of it.
