Habits: How about trying a fruit and or a vegetable with each meal. The government plate suggests half your plate as fruits and vegetables. Portion control suggests 3 ounces of chicken, meat or fish as your protein source. For cabohydrates- choose 1/2 cup of whole grains or high fiber pasta. Your goal should be to lose safely about 1-2 pounds a week. Try to avoid fried and fatty foods.
