AMOXICILLIN: Amoxicillin is penicillin. Where is the swelling? How long has it been there? Does it hurt? How big is it? Do you have diabetes? If it's a boil, you should see your family physician. You may need more than amoxicillin.

Odd question: This is an antibiotic. It's only role of importance is killing germs when an infection has been diagnosed. It is not for "swelling" unless this might be part of an infection. If it is, amoxicillin may not be the drug of choice and its use may delay proper treatment to the point major complications emerge. See a doc.
