See your doctor: If your girlfriend has a strep throat and you were in close contact with her before she had been on antibiotics for a day, then there is a good chance you have a strep infection also. You should see your doctor and have an exam, which may include a quick strep test. If the doctor feels you do have strep, then they will put you on antibiotics for about 10 days.
