Ideal but...: Make sure to take your medication 30 min to 1 hour before breakfast on empty stomach...water is ok. We recommend this because food and certain drugs can interfere with the absorption of the drug into your system and therefore make it less effective.

Depends: The important thing is not the actual time of your dose, but the time you take, eat or drink anything else afterwards (30 mins to an hour). It is pretty important to get the maximum benefit from thyroid medication to let it all get absorbed. However, missing one dose (or getting a bit less because you ate too soon) is not going to hurt you.
