Pink eye or not: EKC is the short name for the viral conjunctivitis with the long name. This EKC diagnosis you got is usually a pink eye in both eyes for 7-10 days and is from a virus that is contagious to others.Contact lenses cause eyes to be red when you wear them or after you remove them...So, the symptoms and the duration and the association with contact wearing will be helpful with the diagnosis and proper RX
