Within the last year i had suffered from a retinal detachment...its been 7 months since my injury ended my wrestling career...what i want to know is, is it safe to step back out on the mat and wrestle again ?

Best avoided: I know that wrestling is almost certainly an important part of your self image. But retinal detachments are unusual, even in wrestlers - especially at your young age. You should assume that you have a greater than average susceptibility and consider the odds of this happening again with a risk of blindness v. finding another activity to enjoy.
