Hello i had a ultrasound scan and was told there was fluid in my uterus i'm around 2 weeks away from having a period and my cycle is normal?

How important is timeliness in getting a diagnosis of a mass in or near uterus assessed. Mass was pallpated. Rec that she return in two weeks for ultrasound when she is in her 3/4 day of period. No spotting between periods. Mass is growing fast.
