A member asked:

Will keflex500mg stop shingles? traveling over weekend so am i contagious? i'm not scratching so will it spread. on back under bra& left breast?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: Shingles is caused by a virus. Keflex does not work against virus. If you have shingles, you can spread the virus to someone else who has not had chicken pox, and it can be dangerous to someone who is pregnant. Travelling is not recommended. Seek treatment.
