A member asked:

Could my eye pain (sharp, stabbing pain in one fixed point above my cornea) have something to do with my use of contacts?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, but...: ...in ANY case, you need to seek medical care. Migraine headaches, foreign bodies & Herpes Virus are among the possible causes of your symptoms. Also, contact lens wearers are more susceptible to ocular infections and corneal abrasions than non-wearers. If you can't get in to see your eye care specialist promptly, you should go to an urgent care center or emergency department. Please!
