Heart surgery: Sounds like a major serious event. Such a big surgery with aneurysm rupture is life saving. Dialysis need isn't unusual for such.

Frequent: After such a life threatening event, it is not unusual to have complications, and renal failure needing dialysis as well as pneumonia from a prolonged intubation are actually quite common in this traumatic setting.
