GERD: The condition is more common than realized by the General public. GERD is caused by H pylori, a bacterial infection. It requires a index of suspicion, a trip to doctor's office fir the needed blood or stool test) to confirm the diagnosis. The treatment is a combination of 3 antibiotics for 2 wks if so. Good luck:)
