String Theory: Bacteria like blood. It's warm and nutritious. I don't know if they like the taste. So if you have an infection in there (maybe low level, no symptoms yet) it will flourish, so to speak, when the blood starts flowing. Best to get this issue addressed sooner than later with your GYN.
