Probably a period: "Implantation bleeding" is not a medically recognized term and is probably an inaccurate description. Bleeding in early pregnancy is, in medical terms, a threatened abortion and is unlikely "caused" by implantation. What you describe sounds like a period. Do a pregnancy test if you are uncertain.
