NO, but: There is a possibility that your husband could wake up nauseous from the anesthesia and pain medications. That is why we suggest a light and bland diet to start off with. The narcotic pain medications used for post-operative management can cause constipation, so this should be taken into account while planning meals. I hope that this helps.
