A member asked:

I have the mumps and my daughter is 8 and a half months.will she get the mumps too? she still didn't get the mmr vaccine

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely: Your daughter has likely been fully exposed to the mumps virus from before you knew you were ill. She will likely have it. The MMR is seldom given before a year of age except when a person will travel in a country with a lot of mumps.
