Yesterday i had colonoscopy with anesthesia (passed out for the whole procedure) and today my lungs hurt. why, what's the connection?

R/O COMPLICATION: Often times Propofol is used for anesthesia it is very potent. Rarely when you are recovery from anesthesia, fluid may get into the lungs. This is referred as aspiration. I recommend following up with your GI doctor. If symptoms worsen acutely or fever develops, get immediate evaluation and X-ray to rule out aspiration Pneumonia.
