ENT surgeon: Best bet is to talk to an ENT doc about removing your tonsils. Steroids not good for infections

Underwhelming data: The main concern is that steroids are masking complications of pharyngitis (e.g. abscess). Steroids are used only as adjuvant therapy for acute tonsillitis. See your ENT for definitive diagnosis and treatment options.
