Thrush yes, BV no: Canesten® (clotrimazole) is excellent treatment for vaginal yeast infection (thrush), but not bacterial vaginosis. BV is overgrowth of mostly normal bacteria and requires treatment with an antibiotic by mouth, usually metronidazole.
