Not an "iron(y)": It is always better to know if that is what needs treating before any form of treatment. Have your MD perform a complete blood count(cbc) with differential. Of course over the counter iron is available, but if you start it now, it will "confuse" a future diagnosis from testing. Moreover, the MD will give you an iron Rx that will be more effective then the "store" version if it is necessary.
