No: If your baby isn't increasing in size appropriately it is usually either due to symmetrical or asymmetrical IUGR (intra uterine growth restriction). If it occurs later in pregnancy its usually asymmetrical and is mostly due to placental issues, maternal hypertension, maternal tobacco use and a couple other causes. Most women have some stress during pregnancy, yet normal growth.
