Cold sore: Nasal lesions and eye pain can be associated with viral diseases the most serious being Herpes Zoster or shingles. Cold sores can also cause this. Touching your cold sore before touching your eyes can cause eye infections. Herpes Simplex infections could also cause this. Serious eye infections eye damage can result. Seek immediate medical attention if you have redness or decreased vision.
