Common: unfortunately this is common for some people after gallbladder surgery. Any over-the-counter diarrhea medicine is OK to take. Also keep a food and symptom diary so you can keep track of what foods cause problems And thus avoid them. Hope this was helpful. Best of luck. Dr. R
