Not out of normal: Bleeding after Pap for several days is not uncommon. If the bleeding is heavy, it may be due to nicking of some small vessel or cyst in the area. Iwould recommend a return visit to your OB/Gyn doctor if bleeding doesnt stop or slow down after one week. Good luck!

Pap smear??: If it was a Pap smear of your cervix it is conceivable that in doing the smear the physician may have caused some excessive bleeding. But there are other significant causes of bleeding and I would suggest that you call your physician and inform him/her of the bleeding. I am sure the physician would be interested in knowing about this incident.

No: Usually Pap smear causes no or minimal bleeding. Consideration should include Menstruation or call your doctor for evaluation. If bleeding is profuse or develop dizziness go to ER.
