Get checked out ...: Irregular periods mean you're not ovulating (releasing an egg) every month. You should see a fertility specialist (reproductive endocrinology and infertility or rei) to find out why you're irregular including hormonal problems like polycystic ovarian syndrome (pcos) or low egg supply. Depending on what the tests find, you may need treatment now, or later on in life when you're ready to conceive.
