A member asked:

Could virginal introitus on a pelvic exam in my medical records mean i have an imperforate hymen? it does not say vaginal introitus, but virginal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: "Virginal introitus" doesn't have much meaning. It does not mean "imperforate hymen". The reason "virginal introitus" doesn't have much meaning is because a doctor usually cannot tell by looking, whether or not a woman has technically had sexual intercourse (a penis has entered the outermost space of her vaginal area).
