Now: that us a wide open question. Every medicine has a risk. You have to calculate why you might need it vs that risk. But, in general, estrogen is safe and helps with contraception, Abn bleeding, menopausal symptoms as well as others. There is a slight risk of blood clots. It does not CAUSE cancer. But if develop breadt cancer, it can use it to grow. Whew! Really need more specifics to help more

Depends: That is a very difficult question to answer because more information would be needed. It depends on why you are taking the estrogen, your age, other medical conditions, family risks, other medications, etc. You should discuss the risks and benefits with your provider before making that decision. Estrogen can be safe for many people, but not all.
