PURPLE FINGERNAILS: Could be a result of poor circulation. Possibly a result of medications. Or due to smoking. How long has this been ging on? Do see your doctor about it.

Nail polish?: Probably not nail polish. The blueness suggests blood flow issues in the tissue. A blockage in circulation is the suggestion. Your hands are cool? Is there any swelling? Do they change colors in the cold? I am assuming that the blueness is not in the nail at all but actually in the tissue of the fingers. We need to understand why you have these circulatory changes - vessel blockage?
