It depends: What do you mean by urinating normally? Also, how long has it been since your operation? Sometimes anesthesia can cause urinary retention in men, and sometimes it can be bad enough to require a catheter for a few days. If you are not urinating at all for more than 12 hours post op, or if you still feel like your bladder is full after urinating, see your doctor.
