A member asked:

Can i have a partial hysterectomy at 23 without having kids?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Medical reason, yes: If there is a very good medical reason for surgery, yes, a surgeon will perform the procedure. However, most GYN surgeons tend to be conservative of reproductive structures at age 23 as it is not the preferred procedure for sterilization with so many good reversible and non reversible means of achieving the same. Reproductive cancer & pelvic abscesses top the list for this surgery at 23.
