Be checked: I am not sure when the bite occurred but if has been several days and it is painful to touch and swollen, you may have formed an abscess which may require drainage and possible antibiotics. Also make sure your tetanus is current. All the best.

Get checked: When it hurts, an infection may be present. See your doctor if the problem persists for more than 2-3 days or is getting worse.
