Many side effects: However, please remember that prescription medications ALL HAVE 2nd effects...EVEN VITAMINS. And also remember, side effects are things that COULD OCCUR in a % of patients usually of less than 5%- sometimes less than 2%. So they are not common and are not guaranteed to happen. Older antidepressant medications MAY have a protective role against Alzheimer's dementia but newer ones may increase risk
